Agreement

SharePaws is run by Sync LC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using SharePaws, you agree to these terms and to the community rules below. If you don't agree, don't use SharePaws.

Community rules

You agree to these rules in the app before you use it.

• Be kind. No harassment, hate or threats.
• Real animals, honestly described. No fake listings.
• No money before meeting. Never ask for deposits, shipping or payment apps.
• No breeding or selling litters.
• We review reports. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and accounts can be warned or suspended.

Content and behavior

There is no place on SharePaws for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Don't post anything hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual, violent, illegal or misleading, and don't abuse other people.

You can report any pet, profile, organization, post, comment, review or message, and you can block anyone. We review every report. We may remove content, warn you, suspend your account, or delete it. Our automatic checks also screen photos, videos and text, and can refuse something or hold it for review.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it, you let us store, copy, resize and show it in SharePaws so the app can work.

Pets and rehoming

Rehoming fees and any other arrangement about a pet are between the people involved. SharePaws isn't a party to them and doesn't handle payments.

We don't verify any animal's health, temperament or ownership. Meet in person, ask for records, and never pay before you meet. Shelter pets in the app come from the shelters through RescueGroups.org. Contact the shelter about them.

Your account

Accounts are for people 13 and over. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time.

Disclaimer

SharePaws is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always work, be free of errors, or that what people post is accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Sync LC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for anything that comes from dealings between users, including adoptions, fostering, rehoming and the animals involved. Our total liability for any claim about SharePaws is limited to US$100.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using SharePaws after a change, you accept the new terms. When the community rules change, the app asks you to agree to them again.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA. Any dispute about SharePaws goes to the state or federal courts in Kent County, Michigan.
